We’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable time hosting our lovely friend Hubert Murray over the last week. Hubert’s on a mini north of England tour after a week or so gigging round Ireland, and I’m promoting his gig at Hope Bank Works in Honley (near Huddersfield/Holmfirth) tomorrow night (and I’ll be playing a short support set with friends!). It’s been a treat spending some time singing and picking with Hubert this week, and we’ve been out to sing and play at a couple of local pub sessions too – he made a particularly big impression at The Grove in Huddersfield last night! Hubert was kind enough to play some lovely guitar on this little kitchen table recording of my original song The Old Ways that we made today – hope you like it!
