Great feedback for the Fall into Autumn Virtual Festival

Just catching up over at this website and thought I would add a summary of all that went on with the Fall into Autumn Virtual Festival that I hosted (with my True North Music promoter hat on) back in late October. I want to reiterate huge thanks to all those who tuned in, booked a workshop ticket, donated, commented, shared social media posts and completed the feedback survey! And of course, our massive appreciation goes to our participating artists and workshop leaders, co-hosts, helpers and Arts Council England for the funding support. If you missed it – or if you want to re-live the magic – you can check out the concert videos below.

We received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the virtual festival weekend, both on the feedback form and in the comments we received during and after the online workshops and live streamed concerts. It’s much appreciated by myself and the artists, and it will really help to demonstrate the value of the event in our reporting to Arts Council England. I want to acknowledge once again the generous support of Arts Council England which awarded me some funding from the Project Grants: Supporting Grassroots Live Music fund. I applied for this in early September to help underwrite the virtual festival and two further live streamed concerts in February and March. This support has been absolutely vital to help my one-woman music promotion venture survive this time of no real-life tours and concerts, and adapt to producing online events. It is also enabling me to pay all participating musicians a reasonable guaranteed fee – the virtual festival alone helped me to provide paid work for 20 other musicians. Combined with the generous donations from the public this made a real difference to me and many others – thanks for your help to keep grassroots music alive!
